CHRIS TOLEVSKY
Principal

Chris Tolevsky established Tolevsky Partners in 1991 after he identified a gap in the market for accounting, business advisory and wealth creation services for business owners and professional practices.

As a business owner, he understands that running a business or professional practice can be hard going. Tolevsky says “You often have to contend with long hours and put out ‘bush fires’ which can make or break your business. And that’s just the start. If you’re like most, you spend a lot of your time working IN your business dealing with patients, clients, customers, team members, suppliers, creditors and bankers. On top of that you need to manage your sales, paperwork, taxes, costs and marketing. As a business owner you have to juggle a lot of tasks but the key is to work ON your business. We help our clients do exactly this so together we can build their business and grow their wealth”.

Chris always wanted to build a very different accounting practice and that’s the offices are in a genteel Victorian terrace in Moonee Ponds. Each room is immaculate and contains fresh flowers. There’s no reception desk or waiting room, instead, clients can sit in the lounge and enjoy a complimentary refreshment from the menu. According to Chris, “Our clients love coming here because it’s not sterile like most offices. We want clients to feel relaxed and talk to us about what is important to them. Clients don’t come to us just to do a tax return. Sure, that needs to be done for the Government but it doesn't really help the client. It’s what we do beyond compliance that clients really want.

First, we help clients minimise their compliance costs by implementing the most appropriate accounting software program for their business. We are careful to match their business needs with their level of accounting skill and we support a range of packages including cloud based options like XERO. This helps keep track of the numbers so everyone knows how the business is performing and we can then offer pro-active advice”.

Chris then proposes strategies designed to help improve business profitability. He says, “These strategies can include anything from team training to marketing, innovative advertising, and customer service techniques. In the last few years the trend has moved towards helping clients establish lead generation websites, optimizing them for Google and helping them script and produce videos plus manage social media campaigns.”

“We also want to make sure clients retain more of what they work hard to earn, so we review their business structure to ensure the clients assets are protected and the structure will minimize their tax liability. We then educate clients on how re-invest the savings to build their wealth by helping them to set up a real-estate portfolio or where appropriate, a self-managed superannuation fund The ultimate goal is to help clients build a passive income stream and retire early.”

Outside the Office

Outside the office Chris can be found at the gym, going to the movies or hanging out at local cafes. He’s a passionate Brisbane Lions supporter and loves to get involved with his sons footy team. Chris and his wife Pauline live locally with their two children and enjoy travelling, live music, and shopping.

FIONA MARGARITI
Client Services Manager - Business Development

Fiona joined our team 18 years ago after running her own transport company for over 10 years. She is passionate about helping business owners build businesses that really work, so that they can choose not to. Fiona says “ While doing a clients tax returns , planning tax strategies and meeting statutory obligations are very important ,there is far more that can be done to help clients reach their ideal profits and an improved lifestyle. Things like management, marketing, customer service, team retention, working processes and business building strategies, and more recently helping clients develop on line strategies with their website, SEO, videos and social media strategy."
 
Fiona is also very knowledgeable on setting up business structures for asset protection, self managed superannuation funds, and helping to organize finance for clients. She holds a certificate IV in financial services (finance and mortgage broking).
 
Fiona has three adult children. They are regularly seen enjoying a bite to eat together. In her leisure time, Fiona enjoys good food and wine with friends, power walking and going for drives in the country.

MICHELLE SORIC
Client Services Manager - Tax

Michelle has been with Tolevsky Partners for almost 25 years and works with a team of dedicated accountants and bookkeepers to prepare and lodge tax returns for our clients. She holds a Bachelor of
Business (Accounting) and is highly skilled in the areas of business tax and accounting. Our clients love dealing with her because she is always so friendly and helpful.
 
As a busy working mum, Michelle enjoys dedicating her spare time to her two sons. Her passion is travelling to Croatia every year for holidays and enjoying the mediterranean lifestyle.

PAULINE TOLEVSKY
Practice Manager 

Behind every successful business is an experienced support team. They provide the backup to enable our Client Service Managers to deliver truly awesome service. Coming from a 12 year management background in the hair and beauty industry, Pauline brings with her a wealth of experience and a great attitude.
 
Pauline enjoys cooking good food and entertaining family and friends. She loves shopping and travelling and loves to keep fit by doing power walking, and going to the gym.

TONY RULLI
Financial Adviser

Tony is a Certified Financial Adviser with a diploma in financial planning. He began his financial planning career in 1982 with National Mutual specialising in insurance, investments and superannuation and has been helping his clients reach their financial objectives.

Over the past 30 years, Tony has been vigilant in keeping himself updated in changes in the financial services industry as well as furthering his education by gaining necessary accreditations required to give advice on Self Managed Superannuation funds and ASX listed shares.

DANIEL STRANIERI
Financial Adviser

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Banking and Finance and has also completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services. He's passionate about understanding his client’s goals and developing strategies to meet their needs.

Daniel participates in many sports on a regular basis including indoor soccer, boxing and running to maintain his health and well being.

SHAREN DIAMANTOPOULOS
Xero & Cloud Accounting

Sharen Diamantopoulos has been involved in the bookkeeping industry since 1991.  After realising her skills could do with updating in 2006 Sharen enrolled at Tafe and ended up completing Cert III and Cert IV in Finance/Accounting in order to achieve her BAS Registration.  Call her a sucker for punishment, Sharen decided to do one more Certificate to achieve a much longed for Diploma of Accounting at age 43.

Passionate about saving small businesses time and money – to that end Xero is her chosen solution. According to Sharen success is all in the setup.  If an accounting software file is initially setup perfectly successful bookkeeping is guaranteed to follow.

It's all about empowerment. It is my mission to arm & empower clients with the tools they need to use your xero to it’s full potential.

LUKE HAMILTON

Luke has had a long and successful career in computer software development, specialising inuser interface design. In 2003 Luke launched Machines Direct, a global supplier of CD &DVD manufacturing equipment. Luke lived in Europe while growing the business to be one of the biggest suppliers in the world.


Luke launched his second company, the Marketing Implementation Clinic after returning to Australia in 2010. His extensive experience with small business and technology helped him to recognise the growing opportunity provided by online marketing to small business.
